Adult Healthy-Weight Reference Range
See the BMI-derived weight range (18.5–24.9 BMI) for a given adult height, in either metric or US units.
What this answers:
- What weight range corresponds to a "healthy weight" BMI (18.5–24.9) for my height?
- Is a specific weight inside or outside that range for my height?
This is a screening reference derived directly from the BMI formula (see our BMI Calculator), not an individualized weight goal. It does not account for muscle mass, frame size, or body composition, and applies to adults age 20 and older only.
Healthy-weight reference range
0.0–0.0 kg
The lower value is included; the upper value is not (a weight exactly at the upper number is "overweight," not "healthy weight").
How it's calculated
lower = 18.5 × height(m)² upper = 25 × height(m)²
Worked example
At 1.80 m: 18.5 × 1.80² = 59.94 kg to 25 × 1.80² = 81.00 kg (not included).
